In proportion to all kinds of benefits to students, the imposition of tuition fees is deemed necessary for the following reasons:

1. Necessary expenses for inviting Professors or scientists of recognized prestige from abroad as well as inviting specialized Professors from other domestic institutions to meet the educational needs of the P.M.S.

2. Procurement of materials, laboratory and educational equipment, books, electronic textbooks and consumables required to fulfill the teaching objectives of the Master of Science in Computer Science and the maintenance of existing equipment for the implementation of courses and relevant software

3. To support research activities in the context of the preparation of theses at the P.M.S.

5.For secretarial and technical support

The amount of the tuition fees for the entire program is determined in the Official Gazette establishing the P.M.S. (total 3000 Euros). The possibility of paying them in installments per semester of study (1000 Euros per semester) is provided and postgraduate students are required to pay them, initially upon registration in the P.M.S. and then at the beginning of each subsequent semester.

Payment of tuition fees is made to the Special Research Funds Account (SRA) of the University of Thessaloniki, which is responsible for their management and in accordance with the applicable provisions.


Postgraduate students must have paid all their financial obligations before being issued with a certificate of completion of studies and awarded the Postgraduate Diploma.

The P.M.S. P.F.Y. provides the possibility of exemption from those regulated in accordance with the current legislation *Tuition exemption (Government Gazette B' 4899/16.09.2022 - Regulation of issues related to the procedure for free attendance in a Postgraduate Studies Program with tuition fees):
• Up to 30% of registered
• Excellence criterion (graduation grade >7.5/10)
• Economic criteria in accordance with applicable legislation
